About the role

At Turing 42, you’ll build and maintain backend systems for scalable digital products – often as part of long-term client collaborations. You’ll work in cross-functional, agile teams with product owners, developers, and AI specialists.

We use Go (Golang) to build APIs, event-driven systems, and backend logic for modern cloud-native architectures. You’ll be contributing to real-world applications with real impact – and help shape digital transformation stories we can all be proud of.

2. Trial work session (2–3 hrs, working in one of our teams together on an open source project)

What you’ll do as a Go Backend Engineer (* | d | f | m)

• Design and develop backend systems with Go
• Build APIs and work on messaging/event-based systems
• Collaborate closely with frontend, AI and DevOps engineers
• Contribute to architecture, tooling and DevEx improvements
• Work in agile teams with a strong product mindset
• We have projects waiting for you – and a quick start is welcome!

What you bring

• 2+ years experience with Go (ideally in production)
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g. Kafka, NATS)
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills in English or German (min. C1)
• Valid work permit for Germany and current residence in Germany

Bonus points for

• Room to grow beyond your role – backend-focused, but fullstack welcome!
• Python, TypeScript or other language skills
• GraphQL or REST API design experience
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions

• Observability know-how (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
